Look at Ourselves!

Every human has a freedom. We can deliver all our aspirations about something that we think is important. No one has the right to forbid us to believe as long as we express it correctly and politely. We must also take responsibility for what we say.
One way in delivering our aspiration is to participate in an election. This activity is a way found indirectly. However, how about the condition of the election process? Is it already fair? Do we have to be fair in these elections? So many questions involving the word  "FAIR". What is the definition of fair ?
According  to W.J.S Poerwadarminta, in the Big Indonesian Dictionary, firstly, fair is not biased. For instance, a fair consideration might not seem fair but both parties receive a same treatment. Meanwhile, according to Drs. Kahar Masyhur, some definitions of fair are:

1.      Fair is putting something in its place.
2.      Fair is accepting no more rights and the rights of others without giving less.
3.     Justice is entitled to grant any more without complete without lacking among eligible, in the same state and the punishment of the wicked or unlawful according to the errors and transgressions.

Actually, a fair election process depends on the organizing committee and ourselves as the voters. The attitude of the fair organizers could be seen by many people, because they are fully responsible for the implementation of the election process. Then, how is fair in ourselves ?

Only we know. Really? Yes, because we are the people who have the voices, we are the ones which determined these voices. We are the ones who should be accountable for these opinions. Thus, a fair election process also depends on us. How do we determine our choices ? Do we choose based on the values that we believe? Do we choose something that only for personal gain or should we choose to benefit all people?. In making our choices, we can not discriminate any religion, race, language, ethnicity, and so forth.

We choose something that benefits everyone, not just for any individual. So, is our election fair? In my mind, not yet, because there are a lot of frauds and it would cause chaos. So, once again a fair election depends on ourselves and the organizers of the election process.
